Just as you were inspired, the PFA has invited Johnson O’Connor Research Foundation, recognized around the world for its pioneering and innovate research into the science of aptitudes, to inform students and parents alike about the link between aptitudes and careers, building upon the work school counselors already do with students. Every career utilizes a set of aptitudes and research shows people are more fulfilled and more successful in careers that capitalize on their natural talents and aptitudes. The PFA’s popular biennial Career Night is back with an all-new educational and engaging evening of career exploration for all NCHS students. Career Night provides students with an impactful introduction to a wide variety of careers along with the important aptitudes and skill sets necessary to excel in a myriad of professions. The evening kicks off with a presentation by Steve Greene, Director of Johnson O’Connor Research Foundation, recognized around the world for its pioneering and innovative research in the science of aptitudes, which can inform and empower students to make better educated decisions about career paths. Following the presentation, students have the opportunity to participate in their choice of two of 10 new career panels, each featuring five professionals providing students with a breadth and depth of career options within broad industry categories. Panel categories include: Business; Finance; Communications; Advertising & Marketing; Law & Order; Medicine & healthcare; STEM; Social Sciences; Creative & Performing Arts; and Hands-On Careers.
