Calling all parents of juniors! Please join us to hear NCHS Counselors outline what juniors and their parents should consider for their continued college search this spring. We will discuss how Naviance can best be used as a tool in this process and how to assist your juniors in planning their summer to help smooth the transition into senior year. This annual music fashion show is the biggest Post Prom fundraiser! We need students and parents in ALL grades to come out to support our senior students. Please spread the word and buy tickets today! Ticket price is $20 online and $25 at the door.

Post Prom Prizes Needed!

The Post Prom Committee is seeking donations for prizes to give out at the event. The wish list is really anything that would appeal to a teenager getting ready to head off to college! Items on the wish include:

• Electronics (e.g. wireless speakers, iPads, video games)
• TIckets to concerts, shows, sporting events, movies
• Gift cards to local shops and beyond
• Luggage
• Airline tickets

The NCHS PFA and the NCHS Writing Center have organized a virtual two-part college essay workshop for all students. The workshop will run in the evenings on March 22 and March 29 from 7:00-8:30 PM.  

The first workshop will help students generate ideas for their college essays, and the second will help students select an organizational structure that will best develop their ideas. Once students have a draft of their essay, they are encouraged to bring it to the Writing Center for additional feedback. All students are welcome to join!

NCHS School Day SAT for juniors is confirmed forMarch 29, 2022. We highly encourage all juniors to take this test. The scores from this test can also be sent to colleges for admissions purposes. Registration will be handled through the school at no cost to families.

Students may register for the SAT test at www.collegeboard.org and for the ACT test at www.actstudent.org. Please confirm test site location on the SAT and ACT websites.
