JUNE 2022
A NOTE FROM PRINCIPAL EGAN
Principal Bill Egan NCHS

Dear NCHS Family,

It’s a busy and exciting time as we approach the end of the school year. Students and faculty begin to wrap up projects and prepare for final assessments. I feel grateful and fortunate to be the principal of an outstanding learning community where students strive to do their best. They never cease to amaze me with their talents, hard work, and dedication. Thank you all for another successful school year!

I want to thank our hard-working, caring faculty and staff, who have made a huge difference to our students. Their commitment is outstanding, and our kids are the beneficiaries. Thank you for providing rich, engaging, well-rounded experiences and knowing that education is about wonder, curiosity, and skills needed to succeed. For these and a million other things, I am genuinely grateful.

On Thursday, June 16th, we will celebrate the Class of 2022! The graduation ceremony begins at 10:30 am in Dunning Stadium, with gates opening an hour before.  This can be an emotional time for seniors and their families as they experience “one last time at NCHS” - one last time in a favorite class, after a final game, a final broadcast, a final concert, a final performance, or final club activity. My wish for the class of 2022 is to savor those “lasts” and cherish the time with classmates, faculty, staff, and families before they head to their next adventures.

Finally, I would like to thank the PFA and our parents, who are truly the best! They are always generous with their time and resources. They continually look for ways to enhance our school and programs. We are privileged and appreciative to partner with them.

Wishing you all a wonderful summer, and I look forward to seeing our returning NCHS learning community in August. To those families leaving us for new places, I wish you all the best!!

Fondly,

Mr. Egan, Principal
