Career Night Recap

After a four-year hiatus due to the pandemic, the PFA and Counseling Department were thrilled to once again host this biennial event last Wednesday evening at the high school. More than 300 students packed into classrooms to hear from almost 60 panelists on a wide array of career paths.

Successful professionals and entrepreneurs from dozens of industries (click HERE to see the complete list) talked to students about their education and respective journeys as they moved through different roles and stages of their professional life.

Students heard what it was like to work in various positions at Amazon, Google, Norwalk Hospital, Tory Burch, Bridgewater Associates, Sikorsky Aircraft and many more. Those insights hopefully inspired brand new academic interests or reinforced existing ones. If your student missed out on Career Night last week, the next chance to participate will be in 2025!

We would like to extend a very heartfelt “Thank you!” to each of the 56 panelists who so generously donated several hours of their time to speak to our students and answer their questions. It was clear from the number of students who attended and came prepared with thoughtful questions that your service was appreciated.

Career Night 2023 would not have been possible without the commitment of a team of PFA volunteers who devoted themselves to reviving this valuable event after a four-year hiatus. Thank you, ladies!
