11th Gr Networking: Managing Junior Year Stress

Junior year brings unprecedented academic pressure, standardized testing, college exploration, and often a perfect storm of social and emotional challenges. This presentation equips parents with practical, research-informed strategies to support their students through this pivotal year. Learn how to have productive conversations about college without creating anxiety, recognize signs your student needs additional support, help them develop healthy coping mechanisms, and maintain perspective when everything feels high-stakes. Walk away with concrete tools to be your student's anchor during turbulent times, without hovering or adding to their burden. 10th Gr: The Academic Roadmap - Intro to Understanding GPA & Naviance

Please join us so we can answer all of your sophomore-related questions! 

Guidance counselors will discuss topics including the Power School GPA and how it converts to a 4.0 scale; how Honors and AP classes are weighted; what GPA colleges see and care about; and how many AP classes a child should take. They will also show us a roadmap to our students' academic pursuits and introduce Naviance, which you will use during your child's college search.
