Below find some key information for the evening:

  • Freshmen parents will meet with administration beginning at 6:30 pm in the auditorium.

  • All grade levels will begin class meetings at 7:00 pm.  

  • Meet PE and Health Ed teachers during your students' assigned or free period 

  • Support classes and classes that meet for less than a full block will be a drop-in to meet the teacher. (i.e ACES//Writing Center/Math Center/Learning Center)

  • Parents should only attend the full Science class; minis do not need to meet

New Student Orientation (For Parents and Students)


On Thursday, August 24th from 10am-12pm there will be a New Student Orientation at New Canaan High School. The New to New Canaan High School Ambassadors are eager to meet you and help acquaint you with New Canaan High School. The Ambassadors are a group of students from all grade levels who will answer questions that you may have about your new school and community. 

Orientation Day is a time for new students to hear about New Canaan High School from our administration, school counseling department, and PFA board members. Incoming students will tour the high school and be able to ask NCHS students any questions. 


Freshman Walkthrough (Students only)

On Thursday, August 24th from 10am-12pm incoming freshman are encouraged to visit NCHS and take a self-directed tour of the building.
